    Two nabbed involved in petrol pump loot in Karnal

    Haryana Police has arrested two persons involved in looting petrol pumps in district Karnal and seized a country made pistol with live cartridge and two motorcycles from their possession. Arrested accused were identified as Prince, R/o Beerbadalwa, and Vishal of village Gondar in Karnal. While Prince was arrested from Taroari on August 15, another accused Vishal nabbed by Police team from Sector 12, Karnal on August 16.

    Effective pairvi secures conviction of rape accused in 7 months

    The speedy & proper trial by Haryana Police under ‘Chinhit Apradh’ scheme has secured conviction of a rape accused within 7 months in Hansi. After holding him guilty, Court has sentenced 14 years imprisonment & also imposed a fine of Rs 35000 on convicted person. A complaint in connection with rape with a 15 year minor girl, making a video of the incident and sending it to family of the victim was received at Women Police Station, Hansi against accused Gulab Nath, R/o Durga Colony, Hansi

    Geetika Jakhar bags gold in World Police Games

    Haryana’s DSP, Geetika Jakhar has brought laurels to the State by bagging the gold medal in wrestling event in World Police and Fire Games held in Chengdu in China, recently. Geetika Jakhar is the first Indian woman wrestler to get the prestigious Arjuna Award. She has won medals in several national and international-level events including Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and World Championships. Police officers from many countries had participated in the World Police Games.

    Haryana DGP B.K. Sinha gets President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service

    On the eve of Independence Day, 13 Police officers and officials have been selected for President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service. Dr. B.K. Sinha, DGP and Commandant General, Home Guards and Director Civil Defence, Haryana and Mr Subhash Chander, Sub-Inspector Panchkula were awarded with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

    Effective ‘Pairvi’ secures conviction of 36 offenders in a fortnight

    The concerted and coordinated efforts of Haryana Police has secured conviction of 30 persons during last 15 days, who were accused in heinous crimes like rape, sexual assault and murder. Out of these, 19 convicts were awarded life imprisonment and 17 other convicts were awarded imprisonment ranging from 1 year to 20 years in hit and run, firing, snatching incidents and under NDPS Act.

    Haryana Police seizes 100 kg chura post, 12 kg ganja

    Haryana Police has arrested 4 persons from Sirsa district. A total of 100 kg chura post, 12.250 kg gm of Ganja and 20 gm of Heroin were seized from the possession of accused. The market value of a seized drug is around Rs 4 lakh. In the first case, Laksham Singh, R/o Mansa in Punjab was nabbed by CIA Team with 100 kg of chura post. In another case, Special staff team arrested Vinod Kumar, R/o Chandigarhiya Mohalla, Sirsa on the charges of possessing 12.250 kg Ganja.

    3 held for trying to break open ATM

    Haryana Police has arrested 3 persons for attempting to break-open an ATM in Rewari. Police has also recovered Ecco car. Atleast 13 cases pertaining to snatching and robbery were unearthed with their arrest. After getting information that some people had entered the ATM kiosk of ICICI bank near village Bithwana and trying to uproot the machine, Police team immediately swung into action and rushed the spot. After seeing Police team, the accused tried to escape but were nabbed by Police

    47 gram heroin, 1.5 kg Charas seized, four arrested

    Haryana Police has seized 47 gram of Heroin from Sirsa & 1.5 kg Charas in Ambala. Police has arrested 4 persons in this connection. 2 scooty-borne youth Piyush & Keshav, both R/o Parmarth Colony, Sirsa were apprehended by personnel of Anti Narcotic Cell from Shamshabad, Patti Kaleniyan road after 40 gm of Heroin was recovered from their possession. In a separate case, Police in Ambala district has seized 1.500 kg charas from accused, Rajesh, a resident of village Fathehpur, Naraingarh.

    3 arrested while planning to execute loot, 29 theft cases unearthed

    In another crackdown, CIA of Haryana Police has arrested 3 persons while they were planning to execute a loot in district Jhajjar. Atleast 29 cases of theft and loot were unearthed with their arrest. Two country-made pistols, four live cartridges and a bike were also recovered from their possession. The trio have been identified as Rajesh and Irfan, (both resident of village Rajpura, Palwal) and Mukesh of Gahlab in Palwal. Several cases were registered against them in different police stations

    Police arrest an accused who fled, left 400 kg doda post in canter

    CIA of Haryana Police has arrested an accused who was involved in smuggling of 400 kg Doda Post in Sirsa. Arrested accused was identified as Amrendra, R/o Fatehgarh in Punjab. A Police team during night patrolling on July 18 had recovered 400 kg Doda Post from a canter near Khalsa school, Dabwali. Taking advantage of darkness, the driver managed to escape after abandoning the vehicle. A team was constituted for his arrest which finally nabbed him on the basis of intelligence and other inputs.

    Over 8 kg Doda Post seized, one held

    Haryana Police has arrested a motorcyclist carrying 8 kg 500 gm of Doda Post in Fatehabad district. Arrested accused has been identified as Pappu Ram, R/o village Jallopur. Police has recovered 8 kg 500 grams of Doda Post from his bag. A case under the provision of NDPS Act has been registered against him.

    47.5 gram heroin, 436 bottles of illicit liquor seized

    Haryana Police in separate cases has seized 47.5 gram Heroin, 100 prohibited Pharma Capsules and 436 bottles of illicit Liquor in Fatehabad and Sirsa districts. Police has also arrested 12 persons in this connection. Cases under the provisions of NDPS Act were registered against them in different Police Stations. Accused will be taken on Police remand for further investigation to ascertain the names of others involved in the network of drug-peddling

    Haryana Police issues alert after developments regarding J&K

    Haryana Police has issued an alert across the state after the decision of Central government on Article 370 of the Constitution, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir State. All CPs and SPs had been directed to take adequate steps for safety and security of Kashmiri students studying in various educational institutes in the state. Steps must be taken to ensure their safety not only at their places of education or stay but also if they decide to head back home.

    Police-Public Awareness campaign by Durga Shakti team

    The Durga Shakti team from WPS Sector 5 Panchkula,continued their Police-Public Awareness campaign Durga Shakti team visited various coaching centres in Sector 15 Panchkula and interacted with aprox. 100 students. The great aspect was that many boys downloaded the Durga Shakti app and also learnt about the women helpline numbers 1091 and 181.The campaign is being guided and organized by ACP/PKL Nupur Bishnoi and the team was lead by grief counselor Ms Renu Mathur of the WPS.

    Gujarat ‘Wanted Criminal’ in Haryana police net

    CIA of Haryana Police has arrested Gujarat’s wanted criminal, Ali Mohammad, carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh, from Panipat. Police has also recovered a country-made 315 bore pistol & a live cartridge from his possession. Arrested accused, a native of district Baka in Bihar, presently residing Hari Singh Colony, Panipat was key accused in killing of cotton waste trader Mr Sachin Dhawan of district Gandhidham, Gujarat on August 1, 2016. Gujarat Police declared him proclaimed offender in this case

    Raids conducted in jails of Haryana

    Haryana Police alongwith civil administration conducted raids in all jails in the state recovering mobile phones, SIM cards, chargers, cash, opium and other objectionable articles. Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Mr Navdeep Singh Virk said that the searches those were conducted simultaneously were part of a statewide routine drive to check for unlawful activities, devices and substances in jails and ensure that jails in State do not become a place for criminal activities.

    Two arm-suppliers arrested with illegal weapons in Fatehabad

    After tightening the noose on drug-peddlers, Haryana Police has arrested two persons of Uttar Pradesh and seized six illegal pistols from their possession in district Fatehabad. Arrested accused have been identified as Asif and Noor Mohammad alias Bura, both resident of Pansariyan, district Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. Accused were arrested from near Dhamtan Sahib, Power House, Tohana by a team of Anti-Narcotic Cell during patrolling.

    Haryana Police registers 240 cases, nab 316 peddlers

    As a part of ongoing anti-narcotic drive, Haryana Police have registered 108 cases and arrested 171 persons during last two months period under NDPS Act in Fatehabad district alone. large quantity of drugs including more than 4 kg Opium, 242.260 kg Chura post, 1.406 kg Heroin, 13.637 kg Ganja, 2.20 gm Smack, 33485 restricted Pharma Pills, 21 bottles of intoxicant syrup were also seized from the possession of arrested persons during this period.

    Project “SABAL” Launched in Panchkula

    Haryana Police Panchkula -initiated project ‘SABAL’ in association with Amway India Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. Project will focus upon creating awareness about living healthy lifestyle among the Panchkula Police work force. To begin with the project, a workshop on productive stress management was conducted in the presence of Mr. Saurabh Singh, IPS, CP Panchkula, Mr. Deepak Gehlawat, IPS, DCP, Mrs. Nupur, ACP, Ms Alka Gurnani, National Manager - Public Affairs and Mrs. Seema Rajput, Dvnity Serves.

    One gets 5 years jail under POCSO Act

    The Court of Additional District and Session Judge, Kurukshetra has convicted a youth under POCSO Act and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment after holding him guilty for molestation and obscene act with a minor girl. It also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on him. A complaint to this effect was filed by the victim’s mother on May 20, 2018 at Woman Police Station in Kurukshetra. After getting complaint, Police immediately registered a case and started investigation.

    DGP plant sapling at Police Line

    DGP, Haryana Mr Manoj Yadava planted a sapling in Police Complex, Panchkula. He said that every citizen must plant saplings for environment conservation. Besides this, they must also shoulder the responsibility for their nurturing till they become trees. About 800 saplings were planted by Police personnel on this occasion. ADGP Law & Order, Mr Navdeep Singh Virk, ADGP CID Mr Anil Rao, CP Panchkula Mr Saurabh Singh, SP Telecom Mr Pankaj Nain and other officers were also present on this occasion

    Haryana Police tighten noose on offenders, 27 convicted

    With the concerted and coordinated efforts of Haryana Police, as many as 27 persons, who were accused of rape, murder, loot, NDPS Act and other crimes, have been convicted by the Courts during last 15 days in July 2019. The convicts have been awarded imprisonment from five years to life term. Police is moving ahead for securing justice to the victims by ensuring effective prosecution and securing conviction for offenders booked under various provisions of Indian Penal Code and POCSO Act.

    Haryana constable gets reward for saving drowning woman

    DGP Haryana Mr Manoj Yadava has announced a cash reward of Rs. 10,000 for Constable Narender for saving a woman from drowning in canal in district Panipat. DGP also announced a Commendation Certificate Class-I for his act of bravery. When Constable Narender, who was on duty with SHO Model Town, Panipat, saw a woman drowning in canal at Assandh road, he immediately jumped in the canal and saved her precious life.

    Drugs worth crores of rupees seized in Sirsa in 8 months

    In line with the government’s commitment to make Haryana a drug-free state, Police under a special anti-narcotic drive have seized 4.764 kg Heroin, 15.99 kg Opium, over 1737 kg of Chura Post and Doda Post, 6.200 kg of Ganja 2,56,332 restricted Pharma Pills, 86,080 restricted Capsules worth crores of rupees during last eight months period in district Sirsa alone. During the past eight months, 305 cases were registered and 521 people arrested on the charge of possessing drugs in the district.
