    2 books released entitled “Abodhisatva” & second edition of “Criminology, Penology and Victimology”

    Justice (Retd.) Iqbal Singh, Mr Om Thanvi, Editor Rajasthan Patrika, Former Director, Chandigarh Judicial Academy, Prof. Virender Kumar and Prof. Veer Singh, former Vice-Chancellor, NALSAR, University of Law, Hyderabad alongwith other dignitaries released two books entitled “Abodhisatva” a collection of stories and second edition of “Criminology, Penology and Victimology” authored by Dr. K.P. Singh, IPS, Director General of Police, Haryana at GOs Mess, Police Lines, Panchkula

    1957 new posts sanctioned for Commissionerate Faridabad

    Haryana Government has accorded sanction to the creation of 1957 new posts for already sanctioned 16 Police Stations of Commissionerate of Police, Faridabad. In addition, 60 posts for housekeeping have also been approved. The newly created posts include 7 of Inspectors, 149 of Sub-Inspectors, 192 of Assistant Sub Inspectors, 652 of Head Constables and 957 of Constables.

    Dr. K.P. Singh, assumed the charge of Director General of Police (DGP), Haryana

    Before taking the charge as DGP, Dr. K.P. Singh took Guard of Honour at State Police Headquarters premises. The senior police officers congratulated Dr. Singh after latter assumed the charge of the office. ADGP, Crime Against Woman, Mr Ajay Singal, ADGP Operations/IT, Mr A.S. Chawla, IGP Modernization Mr H.S. Doon, CP Panchkula Mr.Saurabh Singh, IGP CMFS Mr Rajinder Kumar were present on this occasion.

    Construction of Welfare Centre in Police Line, Panipat.

    Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has accorded administrative approval of over Rs 2.67 crore for the construction of Welfare Centre in Police Line, Panipat. 13 Welfare Centres have already been established in Ambala Range, Hisar Range, Karnal Range, Rewari Range, Rohtak Range, Police Commissionerate of Gurugram and Panchkula. These Welfare Centers are mainly constructed for police personnel to use for vocational and cultural activities for the families living in the Police Lines.

    Life sentence to man who raped, killed a 6 year old girl

    Man sentenced life imprisonment for raping and killing a Six year old girl of Bailgarh in Yamunanagar district. The incident occurred in June, 2018 and Police had ensured speedy trial of the case after a thorough investigation in a short span of time. All these resulted in severe punishment to accused besides justice to the victim and her family.

    13 Haryana Police officer’s awarded President’s medal.

    Thirteen Haryana Police officers have been awarded President’s Police Medal for distinguished service and Police Medal for meritorious service on the occasion of Republic Day. Mr Gurmeet Singh, Inspector, Karnal has been awarded President’s Police Medal for distinguished services whereas Mr Manbir Singh, Superintendent of Police along with 11 others have been awarded Police Medal for meritorious service.

    A hacker carrying a reward of Rs. 1,00,000 arrested by Haryana Police

    The owner of a Computer Centre Sanjay Ahlawat, resident of Bahalmba, Meham arrested by Haryana police in case of hacking Indian Air Force (IAF) online exam in Rohtak. The fraudster had gained remote access to computers used in exam by setting up a parallel network to hack IAF online exam in Rohtak. Case has been registered under various sections of IPC and IT Act 2000.

    National Voters Day function held at Police Headquarters

    Haryana Director General of Police (Headquarters), Mr K.K. Mishra administered pledge to Police officers and officials on the occasion of National Voters Day in a function held at Police Headquarters, Sector-6, Panchkula. The Police officers and officials took pledge to use their voting rights in every election fearlessly and without being influenced by considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language or any inducement.

    Meritorious Students and best teachers will get award

    Haryana Police and HDFC Bank would provide scholarship awards to the tune of Rs five lakh each among the meritorious students of DAV Police Public Schools every year. Besides this, best teachers in all 22 police public schools will also be awarded with cash prize of Rs. 11,000 each by the Police Department and the bank. On this occasion, 59 meritorious students from IX to XII classes were given HDFC Scholarship Award.

    Haryana STF nabs ‘sharpshooter’ from Agra in Uttar Pradesh

    Amit alias Chottu alias Sultan resident of village Soup in Bagpat, Uttar Pradesh carrying a reward of Rs. 75,000 arrested by Haryana Police. Amit was a sharp shooter of Mukhtar Ansari (Uttar Pradesh) and Bagh Karor (Rohtak) gang. He was wanted in murder of Dhajja, a member of Anil Chippi gang. Amit was involved in a number of criminal activities and was absconding for last nine years.
