Haryana Government has provided/granted number of facilities to the police
personnel of the State to improve the efficiency and the morale of the police
force:
|
1. Haryana Government vide Notification No. 22/8/2002-3HG-I dated 12.6.2003 have
decided that two years/one year extension in service beyond the age of
superannuation will be granted to those non-gazetted Police Officers/Personnel
who are recipients of Police Medal, subject to physical fitness to discharge
police duties and satisfactory service record, as follows:-

This will boost the morale of Police Force doing gallantry work & have
distinguished service record.

2. Police personnel drawing Ration money @ Rs. 840/- to HAP, Rs. 1200/- to
Commando and Rs. 600/- to other Police P.M. |

3. Diet money to the members of Commando force has been increased from Rs. 20
per day to Rs. 40/- per day and the Class IV employees of Commando Force drawing
Diet Money @ Rs. 3/- per day will be given Diet Money @ Rs. 20/- per day now. |
4. Police employees are now eligible to be transferred to districts of their
home range except their Home District and old policy of transferring police
employees to far away places from their home districts has been discontinued.

5. System of written test for selection for list B-1 Test is On line in the
Police Department. |
6. Police Constables having 12 years of service shall automatically be
promoted to the next higher rank i.e., as EHC, 22 years as EASI & 30 years as
ESI.

7. KMA allowance admissible to policemen DSP-Rs. 320/-, Inspr. Rs. 240/-,
SI/ASI Rs. 160/- and ORs Rs. 100/-.
|
8. A sum of Rs. 30 lacs will be given to the dependents of a deceased employees
who die in action and Rs. 15 lacs shall be given to those who sustain grievous
injuries in similar situations. Further, the families of such deceased officials
shall be paid family pension equal to the last pay drawn till the
superannuation. The State Govt. have framed an ex-gratia policy for the family
members of Martyrs of the Police Department on 01-01-2014 in which it has been
decided that one dependent of the deceased family should be provided a Govt.
Job. Due to the efforts of Police department the State Govt. has approved to
provide Ex-gratia employment to the wards of the Police Personnel who have died
while fighting with anti-social elements since 1991. |
9. Henceforth the newly promoted DSPs shall be paid uniform allowance from the
date of promotion instead of the date of approval of their appointment as DSP by
Haryana Public Service. |
10. During the year 2019-20 Ex-Gratia grant has been sanctioned and disburshed
to the families of 171 deceased Police Employees. |
11. During the year 2019-20, monthly financial Assistance sanctioned to the
families of 90 deceased Police Employees |
12. During the year 2019-20 Rs 1,31,06,215/- was sanctioned and disbursed to
the police units for clearing the pending dues. |
13. During the year 2019-20, a sum of Rs. 1,52,000/- was sanctioned and
disbursed to the brilliant children of 23 police officers/officials of PHQ,
Panchkula as scholarship. The police units also provided scholarship to the
brilliant children at Range Level. |
14. The Police Department has established, 22 Police Public Schools at Ambala,
Hisar, Madhuban, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Sunaria (Rohtak), Bhondsi (Gurugram),
Rewari, Sonipat, Bhiwani, Panchkula, Karnal, Jind, Palwal, Sirsa, Kaithal,
Jhajjar, Nuh, Fatehabad, Faridabad, Narnaul and Yamunanagar. For provision of
better education to the wards of Police personnel Police Department has signed
agreement with DAV Management, New Delhi. |
15. The powers of sanctioning GPF/NRA, Marriage Advance and Computer Advance
have been delegated to DGP by Government. |
16. Ch. Devi Lal Police Training and Research Centre has been established at
Bhondsi (Gurugram). |
17. Madhuban has been declared as Sports District. |
18. Government have granted sanction of House Rent Allowance to the Police
jawans while posted in Reserves and transfer in Home Range has been been
permitted.

19. Conveyance Allowance to all ORs and NGOs of Haryana Police personnel has
been increased as ORs Rs. 120/-, ASI Rs. 300/-, SI Rs. 360/- and Inspr. Rs
450/-.

20. The Police Department established central police subsidiary canteen at each
district police lines. At present 23 subsidiary canteens have been established
in districts. For this purpose a sum of Rs. 1,35,00,000/- has been given from
Haryana Police Welfare Fund as loan. In future remaining district Police lines
Police subsidiary Canteens will be established shortly.

21. The State Government provided Rs. 6,00,00,000/- for Haryana Police Welfare
Fund as Matching Grant every year.
